What is a "Clinical Reflexologist"?

Updated: Aug 9, 2021

A Clinical Reflexologist is someone who has been trained to create treatment protocols for many different conditions.

Reflexology is not an alternative treatment for these conditions but one that is complementary to your physicians diagnosis and treatment plan. This can often mean that reflexology can soften the harsh side effects of medication, or assist your body in the recovery process.

The lovely thing about reflexology is that it normalises the body systems. If stimulation is required, stimulation occurs. If calming is required, calming occurs. our body will take from reflexology whatever it needs.

The feet have thousands of nerve receptors and is constantly calling out to your other body parts and the brain to react to its surroundings. If you are on unbalanced ground, your feet will send a message to your brain and arms to be on guard for a fall... So, the whole body system has been mapped out on the soles of the feet (and indeed the top and sides) sending messages to every part of the body and organs (Find out how this was achieved by clicking HERE).

When you receive a reflexology treatment, we will manipulate our fingers and thumbs to send messages to all these body parts balancing all your body systems. It is really very fascinating. It is a very relaxing treatment that is as good as a full body massage, but all you need to do is take your shoes and socks off.
